By relating one man's amazing tale of triumph over death on multiple occasions, this book brings a fresh perspective to near death experience literature. David Bennett, once a brash young commercial diver whose personal philosophy was “cut your way through life to survive,” was caught in a violent storm off the California coast one night where he drowned. While technically “dead,” he met beings of light, relived his life, and peeked into his future, resulting in a complete paradigm shift for him. Later, he discovered he had stage IV lung and bone cancer—so advanced that his spine collapsed. Miraculously, he survived once again, and this second close call taught him even more about living, loving, and how to find purpose in his life. Voyage of Purpose brings readers right into the heart of the near-death experience, including the sensations of dying, being surrounded by the light, and meeting the Soul Family. Part memoir and part guide for achieving spiritual growth, this book shows how to integrate the most traumatic of incidents into one's spiritual path in order to live a more meaningful life.

You don't need a near-death experience to visit Heaven and meet your Angels and Spirit Guides. You don't have to visit a psychic medium to connect with your Departed Loved Ones. When you are ready to stop grieving, redirect that energy into making contact with Spirit. In God's Hands, In God's Time (We Are Connected To Heaven) tells many stories from the author's more than two decades-long spiritual journey - from the mundane to the miraculous - and shares how the reader can take the same simple steps to awaken their own spiritual abilities. We all wonder what happens when we die. Do we go to Heaven? Are family and friends waiting to greet us? Is it even possible to communicate with the Other Side while we are still here on Earth? This book explains my efforts to find answers to my questions about Heaven, death, and unexplained events in my life, and shares the amazing truths revealed to me once I opened myself to Spirit. The title is a quote from my Angels and their standard response to my repeated questions about my life and destiny. After three life-altering experiences in thirteen months, I refocused the energy of my grief, confusion, and curiosity into action. I began to study, research, and meditate, and within a few months successfully made contact with Angels, Spirit Guides, and Departed Loved Ones -- and so can you. But you have to try. I explain my ongoing contact with Spirit, escorted visits to Heaven, and the methods they use to communicate with me. My hope is that the reader will see how natural it can be, release any fear, and become inspired to begin a journey of their own. Messages from my Angels appear throughout the book, like these from my meditation notes when I was nearly finished with the manuscript: "It will inspire readers to put forth the effort it takes to make contact... They will see that it is fun and simple if they are receptive to Spirit... We want them to see how natural it can be... Your work will touch many lives; touch their hearts and souls... You will take the mystery and fear out of it for many... They will want to be touched by the Hand of God."

This volume presents the narrative of the author's personal spiritual journey, which is marked by numerous constructive life-changing paranormal experiences that can only be accounted for as special initiates of the divine spirit providing intimations and illuminations. These events are set in the context of the rich literature available, which reports similar events in the lives of many other persons, under both normal and extreme circumstances. The author, a clinical psychologist and pastoral theologian, interprets this broad panoply of psycho-spiritual data in terms of psychological science and biblical perspectives. He concludes that the divine spirit is pervasive throughout the universe and present in all the dynamics of life forms, constantly endeavoring to communicate with humans. Thus, the paranormal may well be more normal than the normal human experience and the veil between time and eternity, between the mundane and transcendent worlds, and between life and the life to come is apparently more permeable in both directions than we suppose.

Near-death experiences (NDEs) are often transformative, not only on an individual level, but on a collective level too. This book contains a selection of inspiring stories from ordinary people who have had extraordinary experiences that have changed the course and direction of their lives and opened each and every one of them to the power of divine love. Recent years have seen a dramatic change of attitude towards NDEs. Unfortunately, the ongoing debates about NDEs have detracted greatly from the very important transformational effects that NDEs have and how empowering they can be for the whole of mankind. The NDE instils knowledge in those who experience it that we are all interconnected and part of one great whole. This book aims to inspire people from all walks of life, creeds, cultures and faiths to the transformational power of the message of NDEs and show how the love experienced during the NDE has the capacity to heal minds, bodies and souls.

Part One: After an industrial accident and a profound Near Death Experience in 1966, in which he went through the whole process of dying and where he spoke to Jesus (Yeshua), Dr. MacDonald was given the choice to stay “on the other side” or return to a broken body. He returned to life with the conviction that there was something wrong with the Gospels in the Bible and that he had returned to life to discover what the problem was. He discontinued his theological studies and started on a spiritual quest which took him from Canada to England and around the world, where he did research in Commonwealth Literature and the history of religion. He received his PhD from the University of Leeds in England and completed a successful career as a university professor in Canada. In the 1980’s he discovered a new gospel through the process of what the Tibetan Buddhists call a “terma,” a text hidden in consciousness for many lifetimes till the time came for it to be written in the present. Part One explores the process of discovering the gospel and the implications of the discovery. Kevin Ryerson, one of the chief trance channels in the United States’ confirmed that MacDonald was the reincarnation of Judas Thomas, and that is why he was drawn to tell his story.Part Two:The second part of the book is a gospel, told from the point of view of the Judas Thomas, who is considered in several early Christian writings to be the twin brother of Jesus. This section follows the canonical gospels fairly closely and includes many new teachings by Jesus (Yeshua) as well as an account of the relationship between Judas Thomas and his twin brother which sheds new light on the mission and teachings of Jesus. Many people have found this part of the book has moved them deeply and the Rev. George Parker (retired Anglican priest) reflects the reaction of many members of the clergy and laity when he says, after reading “The Thomas Book,” “the Gospels make sense for the first time in my life.” A number of people have found the teachings and the new account of the actions of Jesus and his disciples so important that they have bought multiple copies of the book for family and friends.
