Burned out and totally exhausted, Country singer Stormy Knight, walked out on her last two concerts and returns to New Mexico to see her family and make decisions about her career. But when she gets there, it's to find that her parents have gone to a family reunion she'd forgotten about-and that Chance Morgan, the chip-on-his-shoulder cowboy who rejected her ten years earlier, is back. Not only that-he lives down the road from her parents-and she's been fooling herself all this time by thinking she was over him. Chance longs for a family of his own, but when Stormy walks back into his life, he wonders why the Lord would bring back the only woman he's ever loved and the one he's sure he can never have? But with her parents gone, he can't stay away from her-she's not well and her parents left him in charge of their ranch. He loves them and the only thing he can do is watch over Stormy until they get back. Stormy's lived her dream but lost the passion for the Lord that she once had. She's come home knowing something is wrong in her life and finds that it is her relationship with the Lord. It's been on the back burner for way too long. Instead of looking to Him to guide her life, she's let others lead her. She also yearns for love but thinks it is lost to her. To find real happiness and peace, she must find her way back to the Lord and give control over her life to Him...both her career and her personal life. Only then will she be able to have what she longs for. Chance has made a new life for himself, but no woman has ever compared to Stormy and he's about given up on ever having a family of his own. As the two spend more time together, their feelings for one another grow, but both are doubtful that they could ever have a life together. Both must learn to trust in the Lord to help them blend their two different worlds.
